Bartram Garden Pot #10 (4 Colors)
Beautifully hand thrown coggle edge garden pot
Authentic Garden pot designs by Peter Jackson in collaboration with Rowe Pottery. Our handcrafted garden pots are a balance of form, function and artistry. Each pot in the collection has a deep rooted story to tell, a story to last for generations.
The Bartram: The unique design style of this garden pot is inspired by the pot shards excavated at Bartram's Garden in Philadelphia. John Bartram was considered the "father of American Botany" and his gardens are cited as being the first botanical gardens in the United States. Bartram used small pots similar to this to trade plant specifimans with other botanists including Thomas Jefferson. Each piece in the Bartram Collection is stamped with our coggle stamp around the edge. It seems every gardener should have a piece with this deep history to keep the passion of gardening alive!
